Our goal at 2S Water is to protect the worlds water with real-time data. Our company is building advanced, automated water sensors for water treatment, lithium brine analysis  and industrial process control. Our core product, the AquaValid sensor, uses plasma emission spectroscopy to quantify elemental contamination such as heavy metals in water. We are currently working with mining companies to ensure their water treatment is working correctly and give early warning of any events that could lead to contaminated water being released.

Software Developer

2S Water is looking for a versatile programmer who wants to learn and is inspired to work with a company that’s making a difference. 

As an essential part of the lab team, we are looking for programmer to help with code development, hardware, and data. Experience in all aspects much less important than enthusiasm. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Programming

Applicant must have programming skills in Python and must have worked in Linux based systems. 

• Hardware

Applicant must be willing to learn about embedded python programming, be willing to learn and work with hardware, including water systems and electrical system.

• Data 

We generate significant data. Data handling, management, and analysis will be a part of this role. 

• Client interaction

Every person in our company has, at times, direct client access. Applicants must be willing to learn how to work with clients, attend client sites, and provide an excellent experience in those interactions.

Other Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must be able to travel both inside and outside of Canada. 

Location:

• 2S Water has a laboratory in Esquimalt B.C. This position will largely be in lab, with options of work from home when applicable.
• This position will have some travel to client sites. 

Job Type: 

• Full-time, Permanent

Salary Expectations:

$60,000-80,000 Annual. Pension and insurance. Paid vacation and sick leave.
